Don Paresi was born in 1962 at middlesex hospital in Connecticut. A high school graduate. He has amassed his forte' amidst his travels and experience as an explorer in the field of art. He joined the Navy, totally undecided what to do with his creative skills, yet home life being too stifling, he struck out as a sailor to try and gain some insight into the next step. As far as he knew at age eighteen, the world around him held absolutely no promise or opportunity that tailored to his creative inspirations. After three years of playing like a round peg being pounded into a square hole, Don thought that the Navy was okay for some, and perhaps not for others. He finished his term and moved on, anxious to find a way to manifest his talents to the best of his level. "There just wasn't enough shoulder room for me to expand if I returned home, so I rented a room from a family that was a lot more liberal and less stressed out, it was the only way. So that was cool, Don found a daytime job at a local manufacturer and still found time to work on his art. Finally around 1991, he had met Steve Woron at a comic book show. He offered to publish Dons work through the Illustration Studio. Soliciting to major distributors, (which were CAPITAL and DIAMOND, at the time.) Now Don works a lot with Horror writer Dave Niall Wilson, a Navy buddy, doing book covers and interior art. Dave is also a former president of the Horror Writers Association and helps Don find work with other writers. Right now Don is currently working on a Gord Rollo novel cover.
